Isabel joined HNK in 2017 and currently works as a senior paralegal.
Isabel provides support on a broad scope of immigration cases, including adjustment of status, naturalization, family-based immigrant petitions, consular processing, J-1 waiver cases, extraordinary ability, and national interest waiver petitions. With such a diverse caseload, Isabel strives for excellence in case management and client service.
Prior to joining HNK, Isabel acquired experience at two different Virginia-based law firms with asylum, special immigrant juvenile, U Visa, and court-based immigration cases.
A native Texan and of Mexican heritage, Isabel’s upbringing in a bilingual home in a multicultural environment cultivated her appreciation for what immigrants bring to the United States. This forms the backbone for her motivation to go above and beyond in service to clients achieving their immigration goals. Having also worked as a legal and court Spanish interpreter, Isabel’s career as an immigration paralegal was a natural fit. Her main goal with clients is to ensure clear and effective communication and a reassurance that we truly care and do our very best to advocate on their behalf as we manage their immigration cases
