Yusuf Ahmad
Yusuf Ahmad is a partner and lead business immigration attorney at HNK with nearly two decades of immigration law experience. Yusuf works closely with businesses seeking to employ foreign nationals, E-2 investors, extraordinary ability self-petitioners (EB-1A), individuals seeking national interest waivers (EB-2 NIW), and foreign-born physicians seeking the Physician National Interest Waiver (PNIW). A significant portion of Yusuf’s practice focuses on assisting G-4 workers and their family members secure lawful permanent residence. In support of the G-4 community, he regularly conducts presentations at the World Bank to answer legal questions and illuminate available pathways to overcome the EB-4 backlog.
A well-rounded immigration attorney, Yusuf possesses experience and substantial capability handling family-based petitions, inadmissibility waivers, J-1 waivers, asylum cases, appeals, humanitarian applications, and removal defense litigation. He also successfully litigates mandamus, habeas, and APA claims in federal district court. Prior to joining HNK, Yusuf served as managing partner of Ahmad Immigration Law. He previously worked as an attorney with a boutique immigration law firm in the Washington, D.C. metro area. The proud son of immigrants, his personal connection to immigration allows him to better understand the challenges faced by his clients.
